State-of-the-art modelling techniques
Ewing Construction constructed a pair of large floating roof tanks for condensate storage at the Omata Tank farm, near New Plymouth.
This project was an early example of the benefits of CAD within the construction industry in New Zealand, employing extensive use of 3D modelling techniques and DXF profiling to accurately and quickly fabricate spiral stairways.
The modelling techniques were also used to assist with freight logistics by checking weights and construction of shipping frames for prefabricated parts of tank roofs.
